It was always apparent that art and design would play a big part in my life, from making jewerelly out of buttons and keyrings to my love of anything colourful.

After a career working in the design rooms of some of Sydney’s leading clothing designers and manufacturing houses and spending time raising my two beautiful girls. It was time for a change of direction I enrolled and studied at the University of Western Sydney where I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts and was awarded the Graduating Painting Prize and partic

ipated in a number of group shows. I later completed a Masters of Teaching (Visual Arts).

Gypsy Teaparty is a further step in the development in my diverse art and design practice. A place to find individual and unique handcrafted pieces that channel beauty and harmony with the functionality to be used and enjoyed in everyday life.

Pieces are inspired not only by the artist’s that I love and admire: Georgia O’Keefe, Karl Blossenfeld, Ah Xian and Del Katherine  Barton to name just few, but by the patterns, shapes and colours of both the world of nature and our man made world. I ask the viewer to see from a different perspective.

As principal designer and maker I explore and experiment with both traditional and contemporary processes and use of materials, to create new contemporary pieces that respect and acknowledge the traditions of the past.

Decorations, motifs and designs are exclusively designed and created by me and are only used once, therefore all pieces are true originals and one of a kinds.

I can design and create a personalised pieces just for you to your specifications just contact me directly.
